TOM & LIZ AUSTEN (1976-2001) by Eric Wilson
Tom & Liz Austen are two adventurous siblings who travel across Canada and even to the United States to solve mysteries, some of which appear to be supernatural in origin. Eric Wilson started the series originally in the 1970s to provide his Grade Eight students with a low-vocab/high interest series. The Tom & Liz novels (sometimes just Tom) have become Canadian bestsellers in the "false monster" traditon.
