BOWTRUCKLES (2003)
SOURCE: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J. K. Rowling (2003) .
DESCRIPTION: "...Pansy Parkinson gave a shriek of laughter that turned almost at once into a scream, as the twigs on the table leapt into the air and revealed themselves to be what looked like tiny pixie-ish creatures made of wood, each with knobbly brown arms and legs, two twiglike fingers at the end of each hand and a funny flat, barklike face in which a pair of beetle-brown eyes glittered." (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J. K. Rowling)
NOTES: Bowtruckles are stick-like fairy creatures and tree guardians that can be found around trees of wand quality wood. They feed on wood lice and fairy eggs. Their pointy fingers are dangerous to the eyes of the unwary.
HISTORY: Kind of like miniature ents.
