CONAN THE BARBARIAN (MARVEL) The flagship of S&S comics! Roy Thomas was the longest running writer on the comic, leaving after #115, then returning for #241-253. Barry Smith was the first artist (#1-24) which featured Elric in #14 (March 1972) "A Sword Called Stormbringer" and #15 (May 1972) "The Green Empress of Melnibone" plotted by Michael Moorcock and Jim Cawthorn. John Buscema and Ernie Chan drew the comics for dozens of issues. Other noteable issues include stories plotted by John Jakes (#13), Mike Resnick (#40) and an adpatation of Norvell W. Page's Flame Winds in issues #32-34. 275 issues (October 1970-December 1993)
