A READER'S GUIDE TO SWORD & SORCERY
CONAN: THE CRAWLER IN THE MISTS (MARVEL/PETER PAN) (1976) Record produced for Peter Pan Records/Script written by Len Wein and drawn by Neal Adams I used to own this record back around 1978 and found the performances cringe-worthy, though the comic pages were in color. Neal Adams was by far the best thing here. Reprinted in Conan Saga #75 with additional pages by J. M. deMatteis and John Buscema Roy Thomas used the story as material for the Conan the Barbarian comic strip though he changed the slug to a living creature. The original story did not allow Conan to kill living things (enemies or gigantic slugs) because the album was sold to children.
