Falsely accused of murder, Larry Lawrence (Bob Hope) teams up with heiress, Mary Carter (Paulette Goddard) to investigate the haunted Black Island near Cuba. They encounters ghost and zombies. This was the third and best version of this film. It was originally a  broadway play The Ghost Breaker by Paul Dickey and Charles W. Goddard, then a silent picture in 1914 and 1922, then remade in 1953 as Scared Stiff with Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis.
