NIFFLERS (2000)

SOURCE: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J. K. Rowling (2000) .

DESCRIPTION: "...He found himself looking at a number of fluffy black creatures with long snouts. Their front paws were curiously flat, like spades, and they were blinking up at the class..." (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J. K. Rowling)

NOTES: Nifflers love shiny objects and live mostly in mines. Their spade-shaped hands help them dig for treasure. Wizards use them as treasure detectors. Nifflers do not make good pets as they can reek havoc on houses.

HISTORY: If Disney had made the Harry Potter movies you could be sure there would have been a cute, cuddly Niffler in every household.
