NOTES: The most annoying ghost at Hogwarts is Peeves. He does nothing but cause trouble. He is a poltergeist. He will attack students by throwing things at them, pull up carpets so people trip, and anything to bother others. The only person he fears is the Bloody Baron. Why this is is never explained.

HISTORY: Peeves' name is a brilliant pun, since he is like the undead version of everybody's "pet peeves". Peeves never really made it into the movies which is too bad because he is one of the more fully-developed ghosts like Nearly Headless Nick and Moaning Myrtle. Unlike them he isn't a key character in any plot lines. The actor Rik Mayall does portray Peeves but I'm not sure exactly where? Perhaps in the new film?
