(October-December 1985) (ACG 1999) Written by Steve Skeates/Drawn by Jim Aparo Set in the time of Beowulf's elder years, the comic focuses on the young Thane of Bagarth who loses his holdings to a rival and his insidious brother. The series seems more like a historical comic most of the time, written in stilted Prince Valiant narration, until Issue #10 when people from our time find their way back into the past. The Thane comics from 1985 reprint the first 4 chapters. The ACG reprint reused the Ruby Nebres cover from 1985.
