"The Curse of the Golen Skull" by Robert E. Howard (Circa 1928?)

Plot: Rotath the Lemurian is a powerful and evil wizard who dies before he can kill Kull. Millennia later a modern man finds his skull and touches it, causing him to drop dead.

History: This story is only mentions Kull offhand and is not usually included as one of Kull tales.

Conan the Barbarian #37 (April 1974) uses the short Howard story at the beginning as the set-up for a Conan tale. Instead of a modern setting, the second half of the story takes place in Conan's time, the Hyborian Age. Adapted by Roy Thomas and drawn by Neal Adams. The reflection of Kull in Rotath's eye is from Mike Ploog's Kull the Destroyer #11 (November 1973).
