“We
move through the Void Eternal. That’s all we do and we do it damn well.”
-- Guildsman Philosophy
In
the tradition of classic Space Opera and old pulp science fiction, THE VOID ETERNAL
is a shared world anthology that will try to capture the old excitement and wonder
of interstellar high adventure on far-flung worlds. Robots, spaceships, ray guns,
and all the good ‘fun’ of space opera can be put to use.
Try
to think about the way science fiction was before STAR TREK and STAR WARS. Think
of Heinlein’s juveniles and of E.E. “Doc” Smith’s adventures. Think of somewhere
in between the hard science of Larry Niven and the rollicking adventure of Edgar
Rice Burroughs. Think somewhere north of David Weber’s Military SF and just south
of outright fantasy and you’ll see that there’s a lot of room for everyone.
