DESCRIPTION:


PLOT: In a cabin, a man finds old newspapers about two cannibals who were wanted for their crimes. The narrator notices both men asked to be burnt after death. The two men are the same man, a werewolf turned vampire. The owner of cabin enters and attacks with long, vampire teeth.


WEREWOLF FACTS: This story uses the idea that a man who is a werewolf will become a vampire in death.


INTERESTING FACTS: Wellman revised this story in the 1973 before he included it in Worse Things Waiting. He also retitled it "The Undead Soldier".
